AI To Using Emotion

It seems like there are just as many AI detection tools on the market today as there are AI writers, and for good reason: Practitioners of generative AI have a duty of care to check for misinformation, plagiarism, and manipulated data.

That said, we also know that generative AI is starting to earn its rightful place in the professional world thanks to its ability to automate processes, cut costs, and save users time. The data shows that it’s not going anywhere, anytime soon.

As such, undetectable AI tools have a part to play just about everywhere, regardless of whether you’re on the content creation side or the quality assurance side.

That’s why, in this article, we’ll look at some of today’s most popular undetectable AI tools and rank them accordingly, so you can make the best decision for your specific situation.

Methodology

We tested four Undetectable AI tools to find out which one works the best.

To produce the most unbiased results possible, we needed a constant for comparison purposes. We created a prompt and answered it in about 100 words how we thought a human would answer it without any extra context:

The prompt: How would you explain generative AI technology to a 5th-grader?

Our response: Imagine that you had a superpower, and with this superpower, you could create anything at all that you could possibly think of at the snap of your finger. You could create a watercolor painting, a fantasy story about someone you admire, or even your own version of a music video you really like. Generative artificial intelligence, or AI, works in a similar way, except the things that it can create are limited to the digital world. You may not be able to make a dog appear next to you with generative AI, but you can certainly create an amazing picture of one!

Then, we asked ChatGPT to reply with its own response:

ChatGPT’s response: Generative AI is a kind of computer program that can create new things like stories, pictures, or music. It learns by looking at lots of examples, just like how we learn from books and teachers. Imagine you give it a bunch of pictures of cats. After studying them, it can make its own pictures of cats that look real but are made up! It’s like having a very smart friend who can draw or write anything you ask, even if they’ve never seen it before.

Finally, we used each of the following tools below to “rewrite” ChatGPT’s response to make its AI nature undetectable. We used the free version of GPTZero to scan each response.

Note that this experiment is not a guarantee that you’ll get the same results. AI detectors update and change frequently, and GPTZero is not infallible. Use these tools at your own risk.

The Benchmark

Here is how GPTZero interpreted our human response:

And here’s how it interpreted our ChatGPT response:

Pretty good. Let’s get started.

#1: CogniBypass

Starting with CogniBypass, we ran our ChatGPT response through their app, which gave us a nice before-and-after of the response.

Then, we ran its output through GPTZero:

The tool seems to do its job well enough, creating a revised response that leaves GPTZero believing the text was 76% likely to be written by a human.

Even still, that 23% AI probability is likely enough to raise eyebrows.

Let’s move on.

#2: BlogAssistant

We signed up for a BlogAssistant free trial and ran our human response through its Undetectability Paraphraser.

Then, we took its response and plugged it into a GPTZero scan:

This result speaks for itself. The Undetectability Paraphraser failed to produce a response that fooled GPTZero’s scan.

Let’s continue.

#3: GPTInf

On to the next contender, we have GPTInf. We plugged in our ChatGPT response and let the tool work its magic.

Then, into GPTZero:

The results? Even worse than BlogAssistant, which was also pretty bad.

Finally, we concluded the tests with Undetectable AI.

#4: Undetectable AI

Just like before, we plugged our ChatGPT response into Undetectable AI’s tool, which allowed us to “humanize” our response twice for free

The results of the GPTZero scan:

After taking advantage of Undetectable AI’s “re-humanize” feature (something the other tools we tested in this experiment lacked), we were able to get a result that produces a GPTZero scan that’s nearly 100% human.

Key Takeaways

While we only tested four separate tools in this experiment, the tools that we did select were the tools that we deemed to be among the most popular in usage.

Undetectable AI’s results are the clear winner, with CogniBypass as a close second.

GPTZero, however, had no trouble picking up BlogAssistant’s and GPTInf’s results as nearly 100% AI-generated.

Keep in mind that this experiment is most certainly not a guarantee that you’ll experience the same results yourself.

User Perspective Evaluation

In reviewing these tools, I drew on my extensive experience in the field of AI and content creation. As a content creator who frequently utilizes AI tools, I understand the nuances and capabilities of these technologies.

My expertise allows me to critically evaluate the effectiveness of each tool and provide insights based on firsthand experience.

Quantitative Measurements

Each tool was tested using a consistent prompt and evaluated with GPTZero to measure undetectability. Here are the quantitative results:

  • CogniBypass: 76% human likelihood, 23% AI probability
  • BlogAssistant: Nearly 100% AI-generated
  • GPTInf: Worse than BlogAssistant, nearly 100% AI-generated
  • Undetectable AI: Nearly 100% human likelihood after re-humanize feature

Comparative Analysis

What sets Undetectable AI apart is its unique “re-humanize” feature, which significantly improves the human-likeness of AI-generated content.

CogniBypass comes close but falls short in comparison. BlogAssistant and GPTInf fail to convincingly humanize the content, making them less effective for purposes requiring undetectability.

Benefits and Drawbacks

  • CogniBypass: Effective but still leaves some detectable AI traces.
  • BlogAssistant: Ineffective at humanizing content.
  • GPTInf: Even less effective than BlogAssistant.
  • Undetectable AI: Highly effective, especially with the re-humanize feature, though it may require multiple iterations for best results.

Evolution and Improvements

Undetectable AI has evolved to include features like the re-humanize tool, addressing earlier limitations and significantly enhancing its performance. This sets it apart from competitors who have not demonstrated similar improvements.

Key Decision-Making Factors

For users seeking to produce undetectable AI content, the key factors are effectiveness and ease of use. Undetectable AI excels in both areas, making it the best choice overall.

Design Choices and User Impact

The design of Undetectable AI’s re-humanize feature is particularly noteworthy. It directly addresses the challenge of AI detectability, providing users with a reliable tool for creating human-like content.
